“We all have the same human problem: how to take good practical care of our lives and, at the same time, expand them... The six perfections are expansive, endlessly imaginative practices, yet they are, at the same time, down-to-earth. They are pathways for the development of character, ways we can improve as human beings functioning the the world as it is. Taken as a whole, they define a spirit and a way of life. ”
This dharma seminar is part of our regular Wednesday evening practice schedule. It will complement our shuso’s Sunday morning sessions by exploring how the practice of the paramitas extends into our relational, social, political and ecological lives. The paramitas give us the resilience and vision to stay awake and engaged as we continue to live with the Covid-19 pandemic.
Dharma seminar sessions consist of two zazen periods, an informal talk, writing reflections (bring a notebook), small/large group talking circles. Everyone welcome! By donation.
