Mochi Fundraiser

As an opportunity to exercise engaged buddhist practice, on the final day of the 2026 Mountains and Rivers sesshin,  the Engaged Buddhist Practice Group will launch a daifuku mochi fundraiser.  The fundraiser will be in support of Victoria Hand Project. Their mission is to promote health and relieve poverty by providing prosthetic arms to amputees in-need, who have limited or no access to prosthetic care, in more than 11 countries around the world. They work around the world, often in war zones. As well as being an NGO working with amputees worldwide, often in areas of conflict, they partner locally to carry out the work and build local capacity by  providing 3D printers.

Starting at the end of sesshin, daifuku mochi will be available with a donation to Victoria Hand Project (VHP) which you can make off their website HERE (3 for a suggested $10.00).

We will also be providing a QR code for donations at sesshin or cheques can be mailed to VHP. The mochi will be frozen. Please bring an ice pack and insulated container if you will want to bring them home frozen.

The fundraiser will be launched at sesshin and continued into the fall (likely once per month at Wall St and BST).
