 Fall charged in   Wet
Puddling in shed cedar fronds
trees brilliant in miraculous, unfathomable colour
How can this be?

Oregon, Big leaf, Vine and Japanese Maple
Suitably attired for the Main Event
Just utterly So
So fine

Rake leaves, chop mushrooms, the same
Wash floors, make lunch, the same
Admiring clouds and sun, the same
Eyesight, earsight, foresight, hindsight;
All here, in muddy water

What else could possibly be said
That wouldn't break your jaw?
