The Dhammapada (Pāli; Prakrit: धम्मपद Dhammapada) is a collection of sayings of the Buddha in verse form and one of the most widely read and best known Buddhist scriptures
The recently formed Mountain Rain study group will meet at the Wall St. Zendo to discuss a new book - The Dhammapada. Come join us for an evening of lively discussion. Everyone welcome!
Because there are innumerable translations of this popular text, we encourage folks to choose a version that suits their taste and/or interest. See the "External Links” at the bottom of the Dhammapada - Wikipedia page to find translations (and free audio books) online. Book copies can be obtained from the Zendo library. If you need any further assistance obtaining the reading, please contact Joshua at 778-872-0161.
Participants are also encouraged to share some brief written reaction or modest artistic offering with the group (ex., journal entry, poem, etc.) to aid discussion.
