The Diversity Equity and Inclusion committee together with the Engaged Buddhist Practice Group invite you to a screening of:
"The Wall Between: What Jews and Palestinians don't want to know about each other"
This is a film of a talk that was based on a book. The talk was hosted by the Anglican Diocese of Toronto. The book was written by co-authors Raja G. Khouri and Jeffrey J. Wilkinson, a Palestinian-Canadian human rights advocate and an American-Canadian Jewish community activist, respectively. It examines the psychological and social barriers that divide Jewish and Palestinian communities in the diaspora, offering solutions for fostering empathy and understanding through a justice-centered approach.
Raja G. Khouri is a human rights and inclusion consultant and the CEO of Khouri Conversations. He co-founded the Canadian Arab/Jewish Leadership Dialogue Group and served as the founding president of the Canadian Arab Institute.
Jeffrey J. Wilkinson is an American Jew with a doctorate in Education from the University of Toronto. He works on issues of trauma and the Israel/Palestine struggle and has developed a deep partnership with Raja Khouri based on mutual listening and learning.
