The Engaged Buddhist Practice group invites you to a Nature Walk at the Yarrow Ecovillage  (42312 Yarrow Central Rd - Chilliwack). Registration needed - please EMAIL registrar.
 
9 a.m. departure from Main Street and Commercial Drive sky train stations
10:30 anticipated arrival
10:30 -  12:30  tour followed by meditation
12:30 – 1:30  potluck picnic lunch
1:30 until approximately 3:00 visit the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve (GBHNR)

The Yarrow Ecovillage is an intentional community in Yarrow, British Columbia. Yarrow is a settlement of 3,000 population within the municipal boundaries of Chilliwack. The Ecovillage is also where Travis, a long-time member of MRZC lives.
 
Travis will give a tour of the Ecovillage and parts of the 20 acre farm where there are restored and created ecosystems such as a riparian zone along the creek and constructed wetlands, often with much wildlife. Following the tour we will have time for an outdoor meditation sitting and a potluck picnic.
 
Folks who are interested will have the opportunity to visit the GBHNR, which is not far from the Ecovillage. In May, the herons will likely be nesting.  Return is approximated at 3:00 p.m.  Come and join us as Travis’s guests to the Yarrow Ecovillage! Thank you for opening your village to us, Travis.
