Please join the Mountain Rain sangha for this happy occasion. Guiding teachers Shinmon Michael and Myoshin Kate will give shukke tokudo, priest ordination, to Daisen River Shannon of MRZC and Yuki David Burke of Calgary Soto Zen and MRZC. Becoming ordained as a Zen priest is a commitment to make one’s practice the centre and guiding force in one’s life and to serve the sangha (community). The ceremony marks the beginning of a new relationship to one’s practice.

Reception to follow. Tea will be served. Refreshments contributions would be most appreciated.

Location: Vancouver Buddhist Temple, 220 Jackson Ave. Vancouver (Underground parking available.)

Rev. Aoki of the VBT has generously offered their hondo (main hall) the ceremony on a donation basis. There will be an envelope for donations.
